Tokenomics

Portal Fantasy Trinket (PFT), is the ecosystem token used by everything in the Portal Fantasy Universe. It is used solely for the Web3-enabled version of the game.
There is a total supply of 1,000,000,000 PFT, which can be used across all Portal Fantasy games, including Portal Fantasy, Portal Fantasy: Odyssey and more to come!
Portal Fantasy encompasses three major roles: Heroes (PvE - Player vs Environment), PvP - Player vs Player and Architects (UGC - User Generated Content).
PFT is designed to flow freely across all of these roles, in order to ensure a sustainable ecosystem.
Portal Fantasy is entirely free to play, however PFT will extend your gameplay experience and allow you to better participate in the game’s economy.
On a high level for each role:
Heroes
Heroes access maps (PvE or Architect-created maps) using Mana, a resource that slowly recovers over time. PFT is used to refill Mana faster.
As you progress through content, you’ll be able to collect Ingredients, Porbles, Recipes, Dyes, Cosmetics and other Treasures.
Heroes can craft, upgrade or customize and sell these to others to earn PFT.
Architects
Architects buy land plots with PFT and purchase Ingredients from Heroes.
They use these to craft unique traps, puzzles, tiles and Porble Tangles to attract Heroes to their maps.
They are rewarded with PFT by creating maps that keep Heroes engaged. Heroes visit their maps as they are a source of rare Ingredients, Porbles and challenges.
PvP Players
PvP Players use PFT to enter exclusive tournaments.
They can choose to either assemble a team by playing as a Hero first, or to purchase more powerful and unique Porbles and cosmetics from others.
Winning tournaments nets PvP Players PFT and also other valuable items that can be sold to Heroes and Architects.
We see PFT as being a player-centric utility token and as such, a large proportion of PFT will be distributed to players who achieve goals in any of the Portal Fantasy games, or who positively impact the ecosystem and help others.
This will be through a series of distribution events.
After TGE, PFT will also be available on DEXs and CEXs.
Yes! Play Portal Fantasy or Portal Fantasy Odyssey from now until TGE and earn Heirlooms and Glimmerbits. These are your key to PFT before TGE.
As a content creator, you can also participate in a separate pool of PFT by simply making content around Portal Fantasy. Your views directly translate to Creator Points, which will have a separate allocation of PFT.
Heirlooms and Glimmerbits represent an allocation for PFT after it is launched. Heirlooms are awarded to players for playing any of the games in the Portal Fantasy Universe.
In regular Portal Fantasy, earn XP by playing the game and swap them for keys to open chests. Each chest has a chance of containing an Heirloom of varying rarity.
In Portal Fantasy Odyssey, collect Glimmerbits by participating in the events and playing the battle mode.
Our team thinks long term about creating a long-lasting, fun universe of games and we are fortunate to have a great set of partners who think the same way. This principle also extends to PFT.
Broadly speaking, we use the following points to look at PFT:
Preparation
We have models for how we expect PFT to behave across all three roles and how token flows will be affected by certain parameters. From these we identify levers we are able to use to incentivise behaviours that benefit the ecosystem.
Analytics
We are constantly looking at how the economy works in practice, with our proprietary in-house analytics system. This allows us to monitor in-game, off-chain and on-chain analytics to ensure everything is stable.
Events
As we identify areas that deviate from our models, we’ll be making small adjustments and running role-specific events with the tailored purpose of addressing specific underperforming aspects of the economy cycle. This could be an entire Game Role that is under-represented, specific features within a Game Role or minor adjustments to certain properties.
Role-Specific Events will contain great prizes and require participants to really dig into certain roles to fulfil the requirements of an event, ensuring players become comfortable with a more specialised role.
